Dark Romance Magazine

For those who have been waiting for it, there is good news about the first real Dutch and Dutch-language Dark Romance Magazine: wet rose magazine.

The magazine comes in A5 format, runs to 100 pages and is divided into six chapters that tell the story of the bleu Rose who meets the barbaric Dom Alpha King online. What begins as an exciting BDSM adventure soon culminates in Rose's obsessive infatuation and Alpha's unhealthy possessiveness.

The magazine contains the following (regular) sections:

• Alpha King & wet rose. 6 chapters of haunting Dark Romance.
• Roses Choice. Explanations and (usage) tips on the toys and attributes used by Alpha and rose in the story.
• Perverse Psyche. Different than usual explanation of various BDSM disciplines and the psychology behind them.
• Fetish Fact. Interesting facts about well-known and lesser-known fetishes.
• Kinky Kosmos. Naughty horoscope about lust, sex & red flags.

The observant reader will immediately notice that wet rose is spelt with lowercase letters. This, of course, is not a coincidence or a 'mistake'. Wet Rose is the name Alpha King gave her. Rose is submissive, his lust slave so lowercase; wet rose. Even though it concerns a name.

Connoisseurs of BDSM are usually familiar with this 'rule'.

What makes Dark Romance Magazine so unique is that it is a sequel story based on true facts. Alpha King and wet rose are not fictional characters.

They really do exist. The magazine will continue to exist as long as their inky romance continues. You can think of this as law rose diary.

Although the chapters can be read separately, they are not separate stories.

Because the texts sometimes refer back to previous events, it is advisable to read the story from the beginning.

What is a Dark Romance?

A Dark Romance story is a genre that combines elements of romance with dark, often disturbing themes.

These stories often describe complex and sometimes unhealthy relationships, with characters struggling with inner demons, trauma or the lack of a moral compass.

Some features of Dark Romance:

4. Mystery and suspense: Many Dark Romance stories contain elements of mystery or suspense, such as secrets being revealed or dangerous situations the characters find themselves in.

5. Symbolism and Atmosphere: The setting and atmosphere are often dark and atmospheric, with a focus on the emotional and psychological aspects of relationships.

'Wet Rose' (whose story seasoned Dark Romance readers have labelled as 'fierce', 'raw, 'perverse' and 'controversial') will be available from August 2025 at high-class kinky/fetish specialist retailers Indecent.

Although the magazine is published twice a year, 'wet rose' is available all year round while stocks last.

The booklet can be ordered online as well as collected in the physical shop. Of course, the magazine can also be shipped abroad.

If there is sufficient interest, the magazine will soon also be sold at bookstores and translated into English, Spanish, French and German.
